Finding ways to make words sparkle
This is the blog of a woman who is seriously on the edge and I mean right ON the edge…no, not there… just a little bit further… further than that…no, further still…just a tiny bit more… just move slightly to the right a little…no, that’s too much…just move a tad to the left…that’s right, just there…now you’ve moved too far to the left… Damn, what part of the ‘on the edge’ do you not understand? Oh, and her matricidal boy genius, come devil spawn.
Or the three people I guilted into reading this blog, whatever.
Growing older is inevitable. Growing up is optional.
I may make you feel, but I can't make you think.

HaHaHa…Russell, if I ever drink that concoction, I'll have to call you instead. Sargeant Friday met his maker long ago. Thanks again for another good, hearty chuckle. And thanks for stopping by to read mine.

Yes, that was a blast from the past. I like the combination of the staid with the silly. Nilsson versus Friday – a great juxtaposition.Mine, late as it is, is here: http://erinleary.wordpress.com/2012/04/21/flash-friday-fiction-8/

Dear Russell,You are the Master. I bow down before your greatness. (By the way, I was laughing out loud at your comment on Madison's page. I felt the same way.in seven and a half hours (having had three and half hours of sleep) I'm going to be playing disc golf with a few friends. it's a ritual some of us call the Church of the Disc. one of the players is a doctor who often is on call and receives many phone calls from the nearby hospital. We all start singing Nilsson's song while he tries to cover up the phone so none of his charges will hear.Your story reminded me of him and our collective mirth. Great song, great story, as usual.Aloha,Doug

Love it! However, if this was a cautionary tale, it failed. I'm going to the store right now for a lime and a coconut…P.S. I cannot for the life of me get a comment to post here with my wordpress account. Some of those with blogspot addresses allow you to comment as a guest or anonymous, and that works, but WordPress people sometimes have trouble. Here's my address:http://kbnelson.wordpress.com
